BAMBOO & ROBINIA

Just before receiving a message off my girls to go grab a coffee we took some snaps.
Luckily we didnt have to go far...my front yard!!!Which is a nice change from taking pictures at the beach.
We have this crazy bamboo growing down the driveway and beautiful robinia trees growing out the front with the most stunning lime green leaves.
My sister has arrived home for a while with not one but two kittens...my typical gypsy sister haha <3 you :)

Lately i havent had a chance to go op shopping cos Sam and i are going for a home loan and im just being really tight which isnt out of the ordinary. My sister carly has her way of discribing how tight i am only because she is total opposite... she holds her fist really tightly with her thumb moving up and down(not much at all)calls me a tight arse and says eee eee eee!

Speaking of being tight i just put on layby a cute pair of vintage style swimmers, they are very cute but my exercise regime(lack there of) has kick into full gear! If i want to look half decent in them im goin to have to do millions of squats OUCH!
I'll tell you what i love though the unrealistic swimsuit models in the cataloges... i think im going to have to dunk myself into a bucket of bronzer and blow wave my golden brown hair and sit in the most oddest of ways to look anything like that.

How do you write a blog? Its a hard question to answer when you havent blogged before in your life. The way i think of it is as a diary, full of thoughts being meaningless or not its an insight into another person life and mind. I use to worry about what people thought of me but nowdays i dont. I guess thats just part of growing up but also exploring your individuality and being yourself, after all your all youve got. I love telling people they truth that way you gain there respect and they trust you. If your not honest all your doing as making it harder for yourself to remember the lie.

The past few weeks i've had so many lovely remarks about what im doing with CLV and the main comment is on all the pictures we take... my mother(whos my rock)and i have alot of fun going on our spare of the moment photo shoots. I usual get up in the morning and say "ok its time to sew". So we sew. The whilst sewing we chat and depending on the weather i say "hang out the washing and ill get ready". "for what"mum says and im like "photos". Then i grab a few dresses and off we go with the camera and maybe a pair of heels.
Im usually the one who makes the decision on were to go considering im going to have lots of blank stares and comments... mainy nice ones though. But like i said before im not to worried about what people think, they'll get over it :) By getting over it i mean walking past while im changing haha *gasp*!
Among many nice things people say to me, one which i find ridiculous is that i should be a model, i know you might be thinking im only telling you this because i think im a model but to be completely honest with you i feel anything but a model... i just want the clothes to look good. I do though, feel flattered considering im not 6 foot tall and stick thin, but im happy with what ive got and would never give up my curves.I love my food to much :)

Anyway over the last couple of days ive been exploring blogs and im getting alot of inspiration and some jealousy(yes ive got green eyes) and so every now and then, like today when ive got a few hours spare between op shopping and the time before my fiance gets home and demands all my attention to write to you... whoever reads this, giving you some insight into my life and my mind.

Yesterday after a late breakfast i took sam to his surpise birthday present and i must say he is by far the worst person to try to surprise...he get jokingly frustrated and angry and starts saying if i dont tell him what it is he not going(what a stubborn little baby)and continuously asking me is it this? is it that?... ARRRHHHHH!! shutup!Typical Libran but anyway i finally told him when we got to the airport that he was having a flying lesson and to stop him worrying that i was taking him there to sky dive.
After the flight ive never seen him so happy, his beautiful brown eyes where glowing and he was shaking like a leaf with adreniline.He said he couldnt begin to describe what it was like or how happy he was and that it was the best present ever.The pilot took off and gave the controls to sam and he flew it for 45 mins and landed it!! I had a choice whether or not to go up but to be honest i hate flying and the size of that plane was ridiculous, but needless to say im stoked it was a success :)He will look so hot in a pilots uniform when he gets his licence :)

Who knows what side of the bed i got out of this morning but i was feeling unusual, happy that its the weekend and just wanting to get all the photos taken for this weeks collection.
I wanted a hat, so i went searching. Close buy my house are two very small op shops and heres the thing-when im not looking for a hat i see heaps and when i am looking i find NOTHING! so spewing :(
Anyway i dropped in to my future inlaws place(by the way sam and i have set a date for our wedding finally)and told anne my beautiful hippy mother inlaw to be that i was looking for a hat but couldnt find one. So i walked out of her house with 4 hats and a huge smile on my dile... the catch is i have to show them the pictures which i fine cos i love the attention and they love seeing what i do at work hehe :)(if you could call it work).

I think im just a tad excited its sams birthday on monday and i have THE BEST present ever for him, im giving it to him tomorrow so its a secret now but you'll see some pictures on my blog in the next few days, i cant wait to see his face. By the way he's turning 25 the old man he is hahaha still as cute as when we started dating 6 and a half years ago ;) Im going to put up a pic of us actually- Im 15 and Sam is 16,nearly 17.Yes if your wondring i got a perm in high school- it was the'cool'thing to do.

ah spring, im aware you already know i have a crush on you but who wouldnt?
the most perfect day was last sunday, after having breakfast and tea at supply with my fiance sam and friends sab and shaun we decided to take our beloved hounds for a walk, or in poo's case a swim with a log! do you think the size bothered him...nothin bothers my dog when it comes to fetch its quite hilarious and disgusting at times ;).

hello lovelys how is everyone today.. ive been unmotivated today after a long weekend of going out for coffee, beers and playing pool with friends so much so ive neglected my sewing duties and decided to read harpars bazaar in the sun and walk my dog along the beach instead.. oops!
But anyway i thought id update my blog after going through others, mine seems a little dull but i guess im new at this and sometimes its hard to find new things to keep others interested.

I was at the style exchange last saturday in sydney and took a snap of my cute little set up, i actually did quite ok if i was to compare myself to others which i wont because i know it was still a little disapointing. I did meet some nice young ladies like Zjarie Butterworth from Zarbe, who i might add makes all her own clothing and is self taught!!!




Another exciting thing that happened to me was the release of Charlie Magazine check it out im on pages 46 and 47...got to say im very pleased and still cant believe im in an online magazine for fashionable and ideas people.Mostly i was ecited to see other young women like myself who are extremely inspiring and talented, like peaches and cream vintage couture..AMAZING.
If i had one regret about living on the gold coast it is that i didnt give beauty therapy the flick and start CLV sooner.
